The Louis Poulsen AJ Floor Lamp radiates a direct and directional light. Due to the design of the luminaire head of the AJ Floor Lamp, the light is naturally shaped. Moreover, this luminaire head is swivelling which improves the light emission. The lampshade of this luminaire is lacquered in white from the inside so that it radiates a pleasant diffuse light. The Louis Poulsen AJ luminaires were designed by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu) being part of the creative overall concept. Nowadays, many items of equipment of this hotel are design icons and the famous AJ luminaires are part of these, too.
