The Louis Poulsen P-Hat radiates an indirect light that is completely dazzle-free. The light emission depends on the angle of the shade. The lampshade of the P-Hat is pink from the inside giving a warm tone to the light. This shade is swivelling from 0° up to 67°. Poul Henningsen first designed this luminaire in 1961. The concept was about a luminaire that may be used as reading lamp at the bedside. Thus, the inner shade is made pink to provide for a soft and pleasant light.
