These HiTek Cult 10′s are sunglasses that really fit in well in the steampunk genre. With its science-fiction like look they are an defiant piece for every wardrobe. They were carefully drilled out of stainless steel and screwed onto a plastic bed. The arms are made of stainless steel and the HiTek Cult 10 is equipped with UV400 flat lenses. Because Alexander Tasou, the designer behind HiTek, approaches sunglasses from a different point of view he has some technical features that are unique to the HiTek brand. On of them are the flat lenses in the HiTek Cult 10 frame, something unseen in the main stream sunglass market. HiTek Designs was founded by Alexander Tasou, and started from as early as the 80′s, bringing industrial design and surrealism to his accessories. His sunglasses are never “in” or “out” of fashion. Alexander's designs are edgy and exploring the limits of objects and shapes. They can be worn throughout decades and will always make a statement, look ahead of time, and stand out. The concept of HiTek is what Alexander calls 'Mobile Surrealism'. Surrealism because they are designs that express the subconscious mind and mobility to indicate that it is dynamic and energetic. Alexander also uses a lot of black in his designs as a symbol of strength and clearness. Integrating the past, even the ancient, with the distant future, nowadays called “Steampunk” is Alexander's passion.
